Contact us right away. Until you reach our office, to relieve pain, apply a cold compress to the outside of the mouth or cheek in the affected area. Take an over-the-counter pain reliever (such as Tylenol or Advil) if needed.
Dental whitening can be used to correct tooth discoloration. Discolorations can be caused by staining, aging, or chemical damage to teeth. Using the latest in whitening technology, we can offer a safe method for creating a beautiful “brilliant” smile. In cases of extreme tooth discoloration, crowns or veneers may be the only choice, but because of the low cost of whitening treatments, teeth whitening is nearly always worth a solid try.
Complete & Partial Dentures
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and adjoining tissues. Complete dentures replace all of the teeth, while a partial denture fills in the spaces created by missing teeth and prevents other teeth from shifting position.
Root Canal Therapy
Patients typically need a root canal when there is inflammation or infection in the roots of a tooth. During root canal treatment, an endodontist who specializes in such treatment carefully removes the pulp inside the tooth, cleans, disinfects and shapes the root canals, and places a filling to seal the space.
Surgical extractions usually involves loosening the tooth and then removing it. These are more complex cases. This requires more thought from the dentist or oral surgeon to extract the tooth. Gum tissue or even bone might need to be removed.
A retainer is an appliance used after orthodontic treatment to protect the results of the intervention. There are several different styles of retainers, but each is used to “retain” the treatment benefits and to prevent teeth from shifting out of alignment.
Crown lengthening is a procedure that is designed to reshape your gums at the base of the affected tooth in order to expose more of the tooth’s surface; and, if deemed necessary, to adjust the tooth’s bone level so that the height or size of the visible portion of the tooth can be extended so that the new restoration has enough surface area to be held in place.
