Dentistry with a personal touch

Dr. Lake is dedicated to improving community oral health with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. A California native, he earned a degree in Neurobiology from UC Berkeley and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Columbia University in 2008. He completed advanced training through a residency at Saint Barnabas Hospital in The Bronx.

 

Before dentistry, Dr. Lake gained diverse experience as a business owner and network engineer, which informs his thoughtful and innovative care. Recognizing that dental visits can be intimidating, he strives to create a welcoming, stress-free experience for every patient.

Sarah June brings a wealth of international dental experience and dedication to patient care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in the Philippines in 1994 and began her career specializing in Cosmetic and Dental Implant Surgery as a Senior Clinical Assistant in Singapore in 1995.

 

After moving to San Francisco in 2003, Sarah June earned her Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in 2004, continuing to provide exceptional care with a focus on patient comfort and confidence. Known for her warm and approachable demeanor, she helps patients feel at ease, building lasting relationships through her passion for dentistry.

 

Outside of work, Sarah June is a vibrant and active individual who enjoys cooking, dancing, singing, traveling, hiking, swimming, bowling, and playing pickleball. Her enthusiasm for life shines through in her dedication to her patients and her community.

Eric has a background in both banking and dentistry. A graduate of Cal State East Bay in Hayward with a degree in Political Science, Eric brings strong organizational and communication skills to his role in the dental office. His diverse career experience allows him to effectively manage patient interactions, streamline office operations, and handle insurance coordination with ease.

 

Before transitioning to dentistry, Eric spent several years in banking, where he developed a keen understanding of customer service, financial management, and problem-solving. These skills seamlessly transferred to his role in dental care, where he now excels at managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and handling insurance and billing inquiries. His ability to efficiently navigate office operations and ensure that every patient receives personalized care has made him a key member of the team.

 

Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending time with his two corgis and pursuing his hobbies, including video games, hiking, and watching movies. His well-rounded interests and upbeat personality make him a valued member of the team and a trusted point of contact for patients.

Aaron has over 20 years of experience in healthcare and dentistry. A graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit with a degree in Political Science, Aaron has built a diverse career in medical and dental office administration. He excels in patient management, insurance coordination, and practice operations, ensuring smooth workflows and excellent patient care.

 

With extensive experience in both medical and dental settings, Aaron has developed strong skills in problem-solving, communication, and customer service. His expertise in navigating insurance processes and assisting patients through treatment coordination has made him a trusted point of contact for both patients and staff.

 

Outside of work, Aaron enjoys spending time with his pets, including a dog, two cats, and a flock of chickens, reflecting his love for animals and a balanced lifestyle.

Sarah is a proud Bay Area native and a dedicated member of our dental team, bringing over two decades of experience and a passion for patient care. She began her career as a Registered Dental Assistant in 2000 and advanced her expertise by earning her Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) credentials from Chabot College in Hayward in 2014.

 

As one of Dr. Lake’s first hygienists, Sarah has been a cornerstone of the practice since 2015, fostering strong relationships with patients and prioritizing their oral health and comfort. Beyond her clinical role, she is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the community she serves.

 

Outside the office, Sarah cherishes time with her two children, 6-year-old Elyse and 3-year-old Myles. She enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors with her family, reflecting her love for connection and adventure.

With over 14 years of experience as a dental hygienist in the Bay Area, Juliana is passionate about preventive dentistry and helping patients achieve long-term oral health. She earned her degree from Loma Linda University, where she developed strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient education.

At Dr. Lake’s practice, Juliana focuses on guiding patients to maintain healthy smiles through personalized care and effective home hygiene routines. She values building trust with her patients and strives to create a comfortable, welcoming environment for everyone.

Outside of work, Juliana enjoys traveling, learning golf, cycling, and spending time with her mini golden-doodle, Bo.

Michael is a passionate dental professional and educator with over 15 years of experience. He earned his dental hygiene license in 2006 from Santa Rosa Junior College and a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Foothill College in 2020.

 

As a faculty member at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, Michael is dedicated to mentoring future dental hygienists. He also serves as Chair of the California Dental Hygienists’ Association Foundation, advocating for community oral health. In 2023, Governor Newsom appointed him to the Dental Hygiene Board of California, recognizing his leadership in the profession.

 

An active member of the San Francisco Dental Hygiene Society, Michael balances his work with hobbies like cycling, gardening, and photography.

Shannon, a Southern California native, moved to the Bay Area in 2024 and is excited to be part of our team. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science & Technology, with minors in Culinary Arts and Business Marketing from Cal Poly Pomona. Shannon began her dental career in 2020 as a dental assistant and became a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in 2022. She completed her Associate of Dental Hygiene degree and became a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in 2024.

With a passion for promoting oral health and its connection to overall wellness, Shannon enjoys educating patients and providing top-notch care. Shannon takes pride in providing exceptional patient care and building lasting relationships with those she serves. Outside of work, she stays active with spin, Lagree, Pilates, and HIIT classes. Shannon loves traveling, exploring new cuisines, and discovering the Bay Area.
